Morgoth

Morgoth duel

Welcome! Morgoth Bauglir – originally – Melkor was the most powerful of the Ainur, but turning to darkness, became Morgoth, the “great enemy”. The name Morgoth is Sindarin, one of Tolkien’s invented languages, and means “Black Enemy” on this great picture he is fighting with one elf ( I dont remember his name ) picture by John Howe ( that one who made mass of concept arts used in Lord of the Rings movie!).
He have, just like Sauron gigantic mace and the same helm as Sauron in movie…He looks like Sauron isn’t it? Well, Sauron was his lieutenant, less powerful then Morgoth.
Morgoth’s spirit was cast out beyond the Walls of Night, yet his presence remains as the pervasive corruption of the world. He was mean son of …. and baddest, meanest and toughest from all Middle-Earth threats.

See you again

PS ok I know now that this Elf is Fingolfin – thx ;-)

  3. Yeah, this one IS Morgoth Bauglir, The Sinister Enemy of The World, fighting the Supreme King of The Noldor elves, Fingolfin, at the Gates of Angband, The Iron Hell. Soon after the begin of the 4th Great War of the 1st Age, the Dagor Bragollach (aka The Battle of Repentine Flames), where Glaurung, father of all Dragons, devasted the very army of humans and elves, then Fingolfin, in despair, has been find his way to Angband only to defy Morgoth to one-to-one combat, where he has been killed. The mace wielded by Morgoth was Grond, the Hamer of the Underworld. Furtermore, the hammer used againest the gates of Minas Tirith was also named Grong in memorian of the the Hamer of the Underworld. [:D]
